Woman sexually assaulted, beaten in Nebraska escapes when attacker passes out
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man’s bail was set at $750,000 after deputies arrested him for sexual assault, false imprisonment and more.
Juan Martinez is accused of attacking a woman in Sutherland on Monday, around 2 a.m.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says Martinez sexually assaulted the victim after she turned him down.
According to deputies, Martinez also slapped and beat her face. They say she was badly injured, covered in blood and one of her eyes was swollen shut.
The victim told authorities she was only able to escape with her son when Martinez passed out.
He’s now being held at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
