Woman sexually assaulted while sleeping at Lincoln apartment, affidavit alleges

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man is behind bars after a sexual assault at a Lincoln apartment earlier this month.

Ronald Haskell, 43, was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault, according to booking records.

On Aug. 14, Haskell sexually assaulted a woman at his apartment in north Lincoln, an arrest affidavit alleges.

Police said the victim was sleeping at the time of the assault.

The assault was reported to the Lincoln Police Department the next day, and an arrest warrant was issued for Haskell, according to court records.

After being taken into custody, a Lancaster County judge set Haskell’s bond at $750,000.  He must pay $75,000 to be released from jail.

Haskell’s next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 25.
