Woman stabbed in chest after parking at north Lincoln apartment, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating an early Saturday morning stabbing in a north Lincoln neighborhood.

Officers were sent to a hospital around 1:30 a.m., after a 23-year-old woman arrived with a stab wound.

The victim said she and her friends had just arrived at an apartment complex near Portia and Knox streets.

A person then opened the car door and started attacking her, according to police.

At some point, the woman was stabbed in the chest.  She was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

An 18-year-old woman in the car suffered minor injuries to her face and leg, police said.
