Woman tossed drug-filled bag out window during Lincoln traffic stop, affidavit says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Sunday after a south Lincoln traffic stop led to the seizure of several drugs, court documents say.
Around 11 p.m., officers pulled over a vehicle near 40th Street and Pioneers Boulevard after it went around a “road closed” barricade.
During the traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked the driver and 39-year-old Jessica Serda to exit the vehicle, an arrest affidavit says.
Officers searched the vehicle and found several syringes, bags containing liquid and white residue, cash and other items typically associated with drug sales, the affidavit alleges.
Some of the syringes contained a trace amount of a “black substance,” according to police. Investigators later learned that some syringes were filled with cocaine and fentanyl.
Inside a brown paper bag, officers discovered 47 M30 pills, marijuana and a bag containing about 26.7 grams of amphetamines, the affidavit says.
Serda was seen on a cruiser’s dash cam throwing the paper bag out of the window, investigators said in the affidavit.
She is now facing four felony charges, including possession of a drug with intent to deliver and tampering with evidence, according to court records.
A Lancaster County judge set Serda’s bond at $250,000, meaning she must pay $25,000 to be released from jail.
The driver of the vehicle was cited and released on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
