LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An Omaha woman was arrested Wednesday after authorities say she led them on two chases.

About 10:30 a.m., deputies in Cass County started chasing a vehicle that was driving in the wrong lane on several roads, authorities said.

But they lost of the car, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.

Just before 11 a.m., the patrol learned that the driver — 41-year-old Sevelia Cook — may have caused a disturbance at a gas station in Waverly.

A trooper spotted the vehicle going west on Highway 6 toward Lincoln.

The trooper tried to pull Cook over, but the patrol said she refused to stop.

She led the trooper to Lincoln, according to the patrol, getting off Highway 6 at North Cotner Boulevard.

The trooper forced her vehicle to come to a stop before the chase reached residential streets, according to the state patrol.

Investigators said they found about 24 pounds of methamphetamine in the car.

Cook was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, flight to avoid arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and refusal to submit to a DUI test.

She was taken to the Lancaster County Jail.
