Woman wielding butcher knife stole drill from Grand Island home, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman armed with a butcher knife broke into a Grand Island home Saturday to steal a power tool, police say.
Around 2:20 p.m., officers were sent to a home near First and Clark streets on a report of a woman breaking windows.
Crystal Michaelski was wearing a metal cloth mask and dark clothing, police said. She also had a 10-inch butcher knife.
The victim reported that Michaelski stole a drill worth around $100.
Officers found Michaelski near First and Greenwich streets with the knife and stolen drill, police said.
She was arrested on suspicion of theft by unlawful taking and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
