Woman wielding knife headbutted man at northwest Lincoln bar, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested early Sunday morning after a fight at a bar in northwest Lincoln, police say.
Around 2 a.m., 35-year-old Nicole Birkes started arguing with a man at Steve O’s Lounge near Northwest First Street and Fletcher Avenue.
During the dispute, Birkes pulled out a knife.
Police said the man tried to grab it by the blade to defend himself, but Birkes headbutted him, breaking his nose.
When police arrived, an officer used a Taser on Birkes to stop her.
She was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats, third-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
The man went to a hospital to treat his nose and hand.
