Work on I-180 to begin August 15th.

If the weather cooperates a fog seal project will begin on August 15th on Interstate I-180 in Lincoln.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation says a fog seal oil will be sprayed onto the surface of a newer to seal the fine cracks.

State maintenance crews will be performing a fog seal from Reference Post 0 to Reference Post 1.6 from Lincoln north.

The work is expected to take one day.

I-180 will be closed overnight from 7 p.m until 5 a.m. to traffic in both directions.

Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route and reminded to drive cautiously.
