Worker at Lincoln Casey’s chases thieves; suspect threatens him with gun

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A worker was threatened with a gun after he chased two thieves who had just stolen three bottles of liquor, Lincoln Police say.

On Monday, two men came into the Casey’s at 2243 N. Cotner Boulevard and took three bottles of liquor from the shelf.  They both had their faces covered, according to Lincoln Police.

When the 20-year-old clerk asked if they were going to pay for them, the two suspects ran out of the store.

A 60-year-old off-duty Casey’s employee, who was inside the store at the time, ran out and began to chase them.

One of the suspect’s pointed a gun at the employee chasing them, Lincoln Police say.  He then stopped following as the two suspects ran away.

The total loss from the three bottles is estimated at $47.47, according to Lincoln Police.
