Workshop can teach you how to restore some of your flood-damaged items

Whether it’s a picture or a family heirloom, this class teaches you how you can save them.
It’s hosted in part by the Smithsonian Institute and the Nebraska State Museum.
The workshop shows you how you can salvage and restore photos, paperwork, clothing and even wood items.
State museum director Dr. Susan Weller said health and well–being may be priority, but that saving something important to you can be big.
“Losing one’s family treasures can really have an emotion, psychological impact,” Dr. Weller said. “And so that’s one of the reasons I felt it was very important that we step forward as Nebraska State Museum and host these workshops.”
The next class will be held this Sunday at 2 p.m. They are free and open to the public and you can attend in person or via video conference.
For safety purposes, they said if you do attend in person, do not bring any flood–damaged items to the workshop.
