World War II U.S. Navy Seaman remains to be buried in Nebraska

A World War II U.S. Navy Seaman’s remains will be buried in Bloomfield, Nebraska, Thursday.

U.S. Navy Seaman 1st Class Joseph K. Maule was killed on the U.S.S Oklahoma in the Pearl Harbor Attack.

The Defense POW and MIA Accounting Agency, also known as, DPAA announced on Sept. 18th that the remains of a U.S. Navy Seaman killed in action during World War II had been identified as the Nebraska man.

Maule was born in Bloomfield, and was accounted for on August 8th.

He was just 18 when he was killed.
