YMCA of Lincoln to host 12th annual Youth Sports Adventure Run

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The YMCA of Lincoln is hosting the 12th annual Youth Sports Adventure Run over the Fourth of July weekend.
The event will take place on July 6 at YMCA Wright Park to raise funds for the YMCA Annual Fundraising Campaign.
“We invite families to come out and join us for a morning of healthy, fun activities,” said Todd Johnson, executive director of YMCA Youth Sports. “By participating, not only are families embracing wellness together, but they are making a meaningful difference in our community by empowering access to vital YMCA programs such as swim lessons, baseball leagues, and day camps.”
The YMCA Annual Fundraising Campaign ensures that every child, family, and senior has access to programs at the Lincoln Y.
Throughout a two-mile span, participants will run through obstacles, including net crawls, mazes, and a giant slip n’ slide.
Wave start times begin at 9 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. with a cap of 100 runners per time slot.
Registration is open on the Lincoln YMCA’s website and includes a t-shirt with a race fee of $18.
