York County Sheriff’s Office IDs man killed in crash with semi on Highway 34

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The York County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the man killed in a crash Tuesday on Highway 34.

Around 10 a.m., Robin Hendrickson, 71, of Grand Island crossed the center line and hit a semitrailer head-on near the York Municipal Airport.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.  The semi driver was not injured, according to the sheriff’s office.

This is the fifth fatal crash on Highway 34 this summer, the sheriff’s office said.

An investigation is ongoing.
