York home, storage shed damaged in backyard fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The York Fire Department extinguished a fire in a home’s backyard Monday night.

Around 8:30 p.m., crews were sent to the home near North Greenwood Avenue and West Ninth Street.

The back side of the home and a storage shed were on fire when crews arrived, the department said.

The first engine found a hydrant and was able to extinguish a majority of the flames.

No one was injured, and the fire was ruled unintentional, according to officials.
