LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A York man will spend more than five years in federal prison on a child pornography charge, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.

U.S. District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Jerry W. Lackey on Thursday for receipt, distribution and possession of child pornography.

In December 2022, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that someone was sending child porn to others.

Investigators obtained subpoenas and identified Lackey as the sender.

They searched his home and interviewed him. He admitted to downloading and viewing child porn, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Lackey, 36, will serve seven years of supervised release after prison. There is no parole in the federal system.
