In York was the celebration of Balloon Day, and to help cap off the whole day they had a Giant Water Balloon Fight.

"So balloon day is just a celebration we started earlier in the morning with a 5 k run from adopt a pet and then we have side walk sales and we have high school and middle school kids selling stuff along the side walk," said Parks and Rec Director Cheree Folts.

The York Fire Department also joined in on the fun, as they came in and sprayed water on the kids from the top of the ladder.

"York has so many great things to offer and to be able to just let them come and play downtown and just see all of the wonderful business we have a let their mom’s and dad’s shop while they have a good time we’re glad to be there for that," said Madonna Mogul the Executive Director for the Chamber of Commerce.

Although the kids had a lot fun at the York Giant Water Balloon fight.

It might have been even more fun for the organizers.

"It’s just so hard to say it doesn’t really feel like work when you’re having this much fun," added Mogul.
