11-year-old has been missing for more than a week in southeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An 11-year-old girl from southeast Nebraska has now been missing for more than a week.

The York Police Department is asking for people to be on the lookout for Mercedes American Horse.

Officials say the girl disappeared on May 8.  She’s 4-foot-10 and weighs 100 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Mercedes was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black shorts and white shoes and carrying a pink backpack.

Anyone who spots her is asked to call the police department at 402-363-2640.
