$21,100 box of gold goes missing in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 42-year-old man says his box of gold worth more than $21,000 is missing.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, an acquaintance told him they were nowhere to be found on Thursday.

This was reported on at 1:19 p.m., near North 29th and Clinton Streets.

The box is said to contain coins, including doubloons from Spain.

LPD says this is an ongoing investigation.
