Fourth of July severe weather potential

Above is a recent weather model showing the storm potential for tonight. This is just for guidance and will not be exactly what happens, but it gives us a good idea of what to expect. Please have a way to be alerted should severe storms move into your area and be ready to head inside for safety!
Below you’ll see quite a few images and each tells it’s own story. Below each graphic is a brief explanation.

Above graphic that says “Severe Weather”: This is the overall storm chance. The green “Marginal Risk” is the lowest risk with 1-2 severe storms possible. The yellow “Slight Risk” is a level 2 of 5 and a few strong to severe storms will be possible here. The orange “ENHANCED RISK” is a level 3 of 5 and means numerous severe storms are possible, some of them could be intense.

Above graphic that says “Large Hail”: This shows who has the potential for severe hail. The areas in south central Nebraska have the black lines and those mean that this area may see hail 2″ in diameter or bigger.

Graphic that says, “Damaging Wind”: This shows who has the chance at seeing 57+ mph wind gusts. The area in south central Nebraska has the black lines and this area may see 75+ mph wind gusts.

Graphic that says, “Tornado”: There is a small chance for an isolated tornado in the area shaded in green. Usually when this happens, we do see at least 1 or 2 tornado warnings.
