5 COVID-19 deaths reported in Lancaster County
Officials on Monday announced five more COVID-19 deaths in Lancaster County.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officials on Monday announced five more COVID-19 deaths in Lancaster County.
The people were identified as a woman in her 80s and a woman in her 90s, both in long-term care facilities, and three individuals who were hospitalized – a woman in her 50s, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 70s.
The deaths bring the county total to 98 since the pandemic began. Of those, about 25% have come since the start of last week.
Officials also announced 204 new cases, bringing the total for Lancaster County to 18,820.
Reported recoveries increased to 5,492.
As of Monday, local hospitals had 138 inpatients with COVID-19. Of those, 82 were from Lancaster County.
The positivity rate so far this week is 27.6%.
