90s remain in the forecast, storms by Saturday
There are a lot of 90s or near 90s for highs the next several days. Overnight lows will be above average (64), as well. Rain chances are slim, but we do have a chance in Lincoln late Friday into Saturday. Some of those storm may be strong to severe.
Much of Thursday will be warm with a mix of clouds and sun. There is a chance for rain across Nebraska, but most of that will remain in western Nebraska.
We may struggle to get to 90 for much of central and eastern Nebraska, but the further east you go, the better the chance. It might only get to around 80 in the Tri-Cities!
Isolated storms are possible Thursday afternoon into the evening hours. Some of these may be strong to severe.
Because of the severe threat Thursday, there is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for storms for much of western Nebraska.
The better chance for rain in the Lincoln area is on Saturday. We need it, that’s for sure!
