Wahoo Elementary sees staffing shortages, closes for remainder of the week

WAHOO, Neb. (KLKN) – According to Wahoo Public schools, Wahoo Elementary will be closed for the remainder of the week due to staffing shortages.
In a statement released to parents within the school district, Wahoo Public Schools stated, “The closure is due to an inability to sufficiently staff the building for the safety and education of the students.”
According to Wahoo Superintendent Brandon Lavaley, the closure is due to “illness-related staffing problems.”
The middle and high schools will remain open and operate on a regular schedule.
