Columbus man pleads no contest in grandmother’s death

A Columbus man pleads no contest to manslaughter after stabbing his grandmother last July.
20-year-old Chase Micklevitz was charged with second degree and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, but those charges were dropped as part of the plea deal with prosecutors.
He stabbed his 58-year-old grandmother, Deanna Micklevitz 4 times with a kitchen knife. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Micklevitz will be sentenced at the end of July.
