LPS cancels school on Wednesday

Lincoln Public Schools announced they are canceling school Wednesday due to the cold temperatures. Wind chills are expected well below -25 tomorrow morning. 

“We have been following the weather throughout the day and believe in making prudent, cautious decisions – decisions based on the safety of our students,” LPS Superintendent Steve Joel said in a statement. “We need to consider our children walking to school, waiting for the bus, kids who are outdoors in this kind of frigid weather.”

This will be the first cold day for LPS this school year.
