Woman robbed and struck in head with gun

Update: Police responded to a robbery Wednesday night just after 11, near NW 2nd Circle and Fletcher Ave.
Police say the victim was headed home when she was approached by a light-skinned male with a bandana covering his face.
They say the robber pointed a silver handgun at the victim, and demanded she hand over her purse.
Police say she didn’t believe the gun was real and there was a struggle over the purse.
Officers say she was hit in the head twice with the gun. The suspect took her purse and fled.
Police attempted to track the suspect with a K-9 unit, but couldn’t locate him.
The victim was taken to the hospital for her head injury.
