Lincoln (KLKN) – Aging Partners has relocated to Victory Park, 600 S. 70th St. Care managers, resource specialists, administration, the central kitchen, as well as a new fitness center and senior center will be located at the new facility. They begin services to seniors starting Monday, May 8th.

To access the public entrance, visitors are asked to enter the south entrance on Victory Park Drive off 70th Street and follow the signs around the south part of the building complex and enter under the Aging Partners sign on the east side of the facility.

Access to Information and Referral, Case Management, Legal Services, Medicaid Waiver and Home Delivered Meals is available by calling 402-441-7070.

An event in late April celebrated the new location before they were offering services. Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird was present with local, state, and federal leaders. The site is home to the Victory Park Senior Center, Schmieding Center for Active Living and Aging Partners administrative headquarters, which began moving from their downtown locations in April.

Features of the Victory Park site include increased parking with better accessibility, classrooms, a new foot and health assessment clinic staffed by the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing, a central kitchen, a dining room with space for entertainment, StarTran service, and expansive green space with trails.

The 58-acre Victory Park is part of the Lincoln Veterans Administration Hospital Historic District, which is on the National Register of Historic Places in Nebraska. Relocation of Aging Partners facilities to the Veterans Administration campus is part of the $100 million redevelopment of the VA Hospital grounds. Campus development includes the move of the VA Clinic, and the renovation and preservation of several existing historic buildings and the development of affordable housing.
