Alex’s Lemonade Stand returns to Lincoln this weekend
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Alex’s Lemonade Stand is back in Lincoln this year, benefiting kids with cancer.
Tara Suckstorf and her family have been running the stand for seven years now.
They won an award from the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for the amount of money they raised last year.
Suckstorf said that while this fundraiser doesn’t benefit Lincoln directly, there are bound to be kids in Lincoln it will help.
“Forty-seven children are diagnosed with cancer every day in the United States, so obviously, it’s going to happen in Lincoln, she said. “So it does affect Lincoln.”
The lemonade stands are at the Pine Lake Road and Fallbrook Super Saver stores and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The lemonade is free, but you are asked to consider making a donation.
