PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) –The price of gas in Rhode Island is down by one cent from last week.

AAA Northeast said Monday the average price of gasoline is $3.75 per gallon. That’s 13 cents higher than a month ago and 6 cents lower than the national average.

“Although the national average did a U-turn this week, the road ahead could lead to higher prices,” said Mark Schieldrop, AAA Northeast public affairs specialist. “Ongoing concerns regarding potential storm activity could hinder falling pump prices this fall.”

This week’s average gas price is 21 cents lower than this time last year.
