One injured after crashing into garage of Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was hospitalized Thursday night after crashing into a garage in southeast Lincoln.

The crash happened about 6 p.m. near 72nd Street and Yankee Woods Drive, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Police said an SUV hit a parked car, then “crash-landed” into a home’s attached garage, “wiping out” the garage door and the south wall.

Two users of the NOW Local News App sent in video showing the damage.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police said no one else was injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
