Man arrested in October stabbing at Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Friday in a stabbing last year at a home in Lincoln.
The stabbing happened on Oct. 22 at a home near 27th and O streets.
John Johnson, 22, stabbed a man’s hand twice during a fight, an arrest affidavit alleges.
Johnson had accused the man of stealing his phone, according to the affidavit.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injuries.
During an investigation, police were able to identify Johnson, who is a registered sex offender.
Investigators went to Johnson’s address, but the residents there didn’t know him, the affidavit says.
An arrest warrant was issued, and authorities took Johnson into custody on Friday.
He was charged with first-degree assault, using a deadly weapon to commit a felony and a violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act.
