Police issue another citation to Madsen’s for DHM violations
For the second time this week, police issued a citation to a Lincoln pool hall for violating directed health measures.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – For the second time in a week, police issued a citation at a Lincoln pool hall for violating directed health measures.
Officer Erin Spilker said officers conducted a compliance check Wednesday morning at Madsen’s Bowling & Billiards and observed violations similar to those that resulted in a citation on Sunday.
This time, the citation was issued directly to owner Tom Madsen, Spilker said.
Police said charges will be filed against Madsen’s Bowling & Billiards after employees and customers inside the business were seen not wearing masks. Court records did not show any charges filed as of Thursday morning.
Madsen’s currently faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a closure order by the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department. Chris Ferdico, an attorney representing general manager Ben Madsen in the case, says a hearing has scheduled later this month during which he hopes to get the charge dismissed.
