LPD: Explosive detonates on Lincoln woman’s car
Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $5,000.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities are investigating after an explosive device was detonated on the hood of a Lincoln woman’s car.
Lincoln police responded Sunday afternoon to the area of 11th and C St. after the 41-year-old woman reported her vehicle had exploded and was smoking.
Officers discovered significant damage to the vehicle, which was parked on the street.
Investigators determined an ‘M Class’ explosive – which police say is equivalent to a quarter stick of dynamite – was placed on the vehicle hood near the windshield.
Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $5,000.
