Three more COVID deaths reported in Lancaster County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officials with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) reports three additional coronavirus deaths in Lancaster County.
The individuals are identified as a man in his 60s and a man in his 90s who were hospitalized. The third individual was a woman in her 90s who was in a long-term care facility.
The total number of COVID-19 deaths for the county is now at 85.

Officials also reported 298 new virus cases, bringing the community total to 17,453.
Recoveries also increased from 5,220 to 5,273.
So far, the weekly positivity rate is 37.4%.

A total of 167 people are hospitalized with the virus in local hospitals (98 are Lancaster County residents). A total of 10 people are on ventilators.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, repeated shaking with chills, repeated muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell. If you have symptoms, please get tested. Testing is now open to all Lancaster County residents by appointment only.
