$2,000 worth of vape products stolen from north Lincoln business

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating an early Monday morning burglary at a north Lincoln vape store.

Just before 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break-in at Lincoln Vapor near North 27th and Fairfield streets.

Police said two men — wearing black hooded sweatshirts and carrying backpacks — smashed the store’s front door.

The two went into the store and took off with about $2,000 worth of vape products, according to police.

So far this year, there have been 14 burglaries and three attempted burglaries of nine different vape shops in Lincoln.

Police said six of those have happened since Oct. 15.

Investigators estimate the total damage at around $25,000, with about $9,000 worth of stolen products.  Four of the cases have been cleared, while the rest are under investigation.
