One rescued after crash on highway north of Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A person was rescued Thursday after a two-vehicle crash north of Omaha.

In a post on Facebook, Bennington Fire & Rescue shared photos of the crash near Highway 36 and Blair High Road.

Several units from Bennington responded to the scene of the crash.

One person was pinned, and crews extricated them by using a side wall removal and dash lift.  The extent of their injuries is unknown.

On Monday, a semitrailer hauling 36 cattle crashed into a pickup truck at the same intersection.

A few cows were trapped in the overturned cattle trailer, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
