Teen found guilty in 2023 shooting that injured four in downtown Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb, (KLKN) — A teenager was convicted Wednesday in a downtown Lincoln shooting that left four people wounded.

Teethloach Biel, 18, of Omaha pleaded no contest to two counts of second-degree assault.

In exchange, prosecutors dropped two other second-degree assault counts and two weapon charges.

The shooting happened early in morning of Oct. 20, 2023.

Officers were sent to 14th and O streets and found a victim nearby with a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.

Three other victims arrived at a local hospital. Their injuries were also not life-threatening.

Two other people have been charged in the shooting.

Chudier Tut, 21, faces four counts of second-degree assault and one count of use of a firearm to commit a felony. His next court hearing is April 2.

Alvin Jones Jr., 26, faces the same charges, plus possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He is also set to appear in court on April 2.

Both Tut and Jones have pleaded not guilty.

Biel’s sentencing is scheduled for May 2.
