Charges dropped against Nebraska running back in Florida
MONROE COUNTY, Fla. (KLKN) — Charges will not be filed against Husker running back Mekhi Nelson.
According to court records out of Monroe County in Florida, the victim in the case has decided not to press charges.
Nelson, a sophomore with the Nebraska football team, had been facing aggravated battery charges where he knew or should have known the victim was pregnant, according to court records. He was arrested in Key West, Fla. last month.
The Husker football team has yet to comment on Nelson’s situation. He is listed on the Husker roster.
