Nebraska AG files lawsuit against company that sells THC gummies, vapes

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers filed a lawsuit on Friday against a Wyoming-based company that sells THC gummies and vapes.

The lawsuit was filed against Savage Enterprises, which the attorney general’s office said sells an “extensive line” of THC products.

Officials claim the company’s products contain “dangerously high concentrations of Delta-8 THC and other synthetic cannabinoids.”

The attorney general’s office said the lawsuit details “several unfair and deceptive practices,” including targeting adolescents through models and influencers on social media platforms.

The lawsuit seeks to end Savage Enterprises’ sale of its products in Nebraska and to recover “civil penalties” for the company’s violations of Nebraska’s Consumer Protection Act and Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

In addition to the lawsuit, the attorney general’s office sent cease-and-desist letters to stores across the state for selling at least one product with a delta-9 concentration over the legal limit.

As of Friday, the attorney general’s office has filed 204 cease-and-desist letters to stores in Nebraska.
