Nebraska Wesleyan picks up first win of the season, routing Luther College 44-7

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – It was a fun Saturday for the Prairie Wolves at Abel stadium, as they coasted to their first win of the season. And, they did it pretty convincingly.
Nebraska Wesleyan scored a touchdown on their very first possession. It was a 12 play, 61 yard drive that ended with a five yard run by running back Trystin Myers. But, that wasn’t his only score of the day.
Next possession, Myers ran for a 59 yard touchdown, putting the Prairie Wolves out in front by double digits. He finished with 15 carries, for 127 yards, and two touchdowns. He also had four catches for 40 yards receiving. Nebraska Wesleyan led 30-0 at halftime.
Wide receiver Joey Mclaughlin put up video game numbers in this on as well. He had a 42 yard touchdown catch in the first half, and a 44 yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. Mclaughlin finished with 10 catches, 189 yards receiving, and three touchdowns.
Nebraska Wesleyan is now 1-3, and will play at Dubuque next Saturday vs. the Spartans. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
