Affidavit: Wanted woman caught with meth after north Lincoln traffic stop

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A wanted woman was arrested Monday morning after a traffic stop in north Lincoln, court documents say.
At around 3:45 a.m., an officer followed a vehicle without any license plates to a home near North 33rd Street and Leighton Avenue.
As the vehicle turned into a driveway, the officer initiated a traffic stop, according to an arrest affidavit.
The driver, 49-year-old Ryan Deneveu, got out and tried to “disassociate herself from the vehicle” by walking toward a backyard, the affidavit alleges.
The officer ordered Deneveu to stop and return to her vehicle.
Through the course of an investigation, officers learned Deveneu had an active arrest warrant, and she was taken into custody.
Inside the vehicle, officers found two bags containing suspected methamphetamine, one bag weighing 24.9 grams and the other 2.9 grams, according to the affidavit.
The bags were given a narcotics pretest, which resulted in a positive reading for amphetamines, the affidavit says.
Deneveu was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. A judge set her bond at $100,000, meaning she must pay $10,000 to be released from jail.
