Warming up for Tuesday
First, the good news. It’s finally going to warm up! Temperatures across the state will be in the 50s and 60s Tuesday afternoon. Well above average (42).
A little light rain may move through Tuesday evening, but it won’t amount to much.
The bad news… the wind is going to pick up Tuesday into Wednesday. There is a HIGH WIND WARNING in place for the panhandle through Tuesday and that wind pushes east into Wednesday.
For much of central and eastern Nebraska, the wind will be picking up late Tuesday night into very early Wednesday. Below is showing 30-60 mph wind gusts at 3am Wednesday.
The wind will start to die down Wednesday night, but a quick moving weather system will give us a chance for some light snow showers late Wednesday.
The warmer temperatures don’t last long. We’ll drop back into the 40s for highs on Wednesday, then the 20s and 30s for highs all the way into next week.
