LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Monday after a break-in at a smoke shop in downtown Lincoln, court documents say.

At around 8 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break-in at Double Barrel Smoke near 10th and M streets.

When officers arrived, they found the store’s front door damaged and several items missing, an arrest affidavit says.

Officers reviewed security footage, which showed the burglary happening at around 6:10 a.m.

A man, later identified as 20-year-old Aaron Gonzales, was seen kicking the front door, breaking the glass and entering the business.

Gonzales grabbed items and left the store, the affidavit alleges.  He then returned to the store and grabbed more products before leaving again with several bags.

Officers found Gonzales near 10th and A streets, where he was found to have bags containing “several vape-related items,” the affidavit says.

He was arrested on suspicion of burglary.  A Lancaster County judge set his bond at $10,000, meaning he must pay $1,000 to be released from jail.
