Temperatures Climb Above the Single Digits for Sunday
We will stay on the frigid side heading into Saturday evening with temperatures by 8 p.m. barely above zero. Mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the evening with a southeasterly wind less than 5 miles per hour.
A Winter Weather Advisory is still in place for far southeastern Nebraska until midnight tonight, slick roads and minor accumulations remain the main concerns going into Saturday evening.
Our latest runs of StormCast show snow chances just about wrapped up across the state, with cold temperatures continuing over the coming days.
Sub-zero wind chills will continue through the weekend for the majority of the state. There is a Cold Weather Advisory in place for south-central and southwest Nebraska until noon on Monday.
Above is a look at future wind chills across the state heading into the start of the work week.
Another night of air temperatures below zero across southeast Nebraska. This would mark the 3rd day in a row with a low temperature below zero for most of us.
Overnight temperatures will continue to be on the cold side of zero for Lincoln, but at least winds will be light.
Be bundle up if you are looking at getting an early start to your Sunday. Temperatures look to stay below zero until after sunrise.
High temperatures finally climb out of the single digits in southeastern Nebraska for Sunday.
We will try for 20 degrees here in the Capital City on Sunday but will likely fall a couple of degrees short. Still chilly out there with winds picking up slightly out of the north.
Temperatures will continue to slowly climb for the start of the work week, into the middle 20s on Monday and the 30s by Tuesday. We should see plenty of sunshine through at least the start of the week. Overnight lows will continue close to the single digits until next weekend.
