U.S. Capitol Police beef up security for March 4
U.S. Capitol Police are bringing in more security in anticipation for March 4, a day QUanon followers believe to be significant

WASHINGTON (KLKN)- The U.S. Capitol Police say they’ve beefed up security on Capitol Hill this week due to information related to March 4, a date many far-right conservatives believe to be the day former President Donald Trump will return to power.
“The Department is aware of concerning information and intelligence pertaining March 4th and continues to work with all of our law enforcement partners,” the federal law enforcement agency said in a statement Tuesday night. “Based on the intelligence that we have, the Department has taken immediate steps to enhance our security posture and staffing for a number of days, to include March 4th. The Department has communicated our enhanced posture as well as the available intelligence for the entire workforce.”
These threats are suspected to stem from QAnon. QAnon is a set of internet conspiracy theories that say the world is run by a secret cabal of cannibalistic, Satan-worshiping pedophiles.
Those that believe in this movement also believe that the 2020 presidential election was taken from Trump.

QAnon followers also believed that on January 20, Inauguration Day, Trump would not leave office but instead would declare martial law, enact mass arrests of democrats, and stop the Biden-Harris administration from moving forward. But since that didn’t happen on Jan. 20, they changed the date to March 4, which was originally the inauguration day for presidents before 1933.
In August 2019, QUanon was declared a “dangerous extremist group” by the FBI. Many alleged QAnon members have been charged with involvement in the insurrection on Capitol Hill on January 6.
