Lancaster County engineer urges drivers to use extreme caution on flooded roadways
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Sept. 30, Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman has issued a flood hazard warning for the evening and the next day.
With the recent and oncoming rain, Dingman advises drivers to use extreme caution when driving through flooded areas.
Dingman said residents are advised to avoid driving through water flowing over the road.
Lancaster County Engineering Department (LED) will continue to monitor county roads through Friday.
Dingman urges individuals with road concerns to contact the LED at 402-441-7681 and, if a car is left on a road due to flooding, call the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 402-441-6500.
