No. 1 Nebraska sweeps 5th-straight match in win at Maryland, remains undefeated

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Andi Jackson’s 12 kills, six aces and five blocks helped lead No. 1 Nebraska to a 25-13, 25-20, 25-15 sweep of Maryland at the Xfinity Center Saturday night.
The Huskers (15-0, 4-0 Big Ten) hit .278 as a team – even without Bergen Reilly in the lineup – while holding the Terrapins (11-4, 1-3 Big Ten) to just .117. Nebraska’s defense continues to prove why it ranks atop the country in terms of opponent hit percentage.
Jackson’s six aces tied a program record in a three-set match, joining three other Huskers all-time who have done the same.
Saturday’s sweep also makes it 22-straight victories on the road or in neutral site locations, and this is the 46th-consecutive regular season win for Nebraska.
Up next, Big Red will look to remain undefeated Thursday night at Indiana to wrap up a three-match road trip. First serve from Bloomington, Ind. will be at 5:30 p.m. CT and the match will be televised on Big Ten Network.
