Warm Fall Weather to Start the Work Week
Plentiful sunshine continues into the start of the work week, with warmer weather ushered in alongside a southerly breeze. The upcoming work week looks dry for the central plains, allowing more time to dry out after last week’s rain.
Quiet runs of StormCast look to be a mainstay in the forecast for at least a few more days. For now, be sure to enjoy the sunshine!
A fall chill in the air returns on Monday morning, with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s statewide.
Clear skies and minimal winds will lead to another cool morning in Lincoln. Temperatures fall to the upper 40s by Monday morning; keep the jacket handy for the morning commute.
Despite a cooler start to the day, short-sleeve weather returns by Monday afternoon. High temperatures will climb to the 70s and 80s across the state alongside a southerly wind.
High pressure continues to keep skies clear in the Capital City for the start of the work week. Afternoon temperatures will reach the middle 70s with warmer air continuing to pour in from the south.
Widespread afternoon temperatures in the 80s arrive by Tuesday afternoon with an incoming upper-level ridge. Sunshine will persist throughout the day, as will the southerly breeze.

Highs peak in the upper 70s and lower 80s through the upcoming week. Mostly sunny skies look to stick around into next weekend, with models slowly piecing together our next system towards mid-October.
