Hall County semi and pickup crash results in serious injuries

HALL COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) — Around 3 p.m. on Oct. 6, Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a crash between a semi-truck and pickup.

After investigation, officers determined a semi was turning west on Wood River Road from the northbound lanes of Highway 281. The semi crossed the path of a southbound GMC Sierra which resulted in the collision.

The driver of the semi was a 25-year-old male from Roseville, California.

The driver of the pickup was a 17-year-old male from Grand Island. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger of the GMC was an 18-year-old female and was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the GMC was using his seatbelt and the passenger was not.

The investigation is ongoing.
