A bit of a mess headed our way
Spring is the time of year that just about anything can happen with our weather. That certainly looks to be the case for the days ahead!
For Friday, we may see a very early rain shower and/or rumble of thunder. Most of the day will be dry and cool.
The best chance for precipitation in eastern Nebraska will be well before the sun comes up.
We’ll all be 5 to 10 degrees below average for highs on Friday.
It’s a little bit of everything in the forecast through the weekend. Most of Friday and Saturday will be dry, Sunday will have the best chance at moisture.
Above is video of our StormCast model showing when and where the best chance for precipitation will be.
There’s even a small chance for some severe storms from south central Nebraska into Kansas on Sunday!
We all have a chance for snow on and off through Tuesday morning.
The best chance for accumulating snow will be in north central Nebraska Monday into early Tuesday.
We do need the moisture, too. The drought monitor continues to show a severe drought for much of eastern Nebraska.
