A Cooler Start to the Weekend
After a few days of heat and humidity, we catch a break to kick off the weekend. Saturday will start off warm with temperatures in the middle 70s, but with the added cloud cover, we won’t get as hot as we have lately. Afternoon highs, while still warm, will be a little below average and in the upper 80s.
Scattered showers and storms will be possible on and off throughout the day, with the better chance in the afternoon. A little bit better chance will come our way in the evening, especially in eastern Nebraska. The threat for severe storms is small, but one or two strong storms will be possible after the sun goes down Saturday.
Hopefully if you need the rain you see some Saturday night into early Sunday, because that will just about do it for rain chances for quite a while. The 10 day forecast has next to nothing for rain all the way through next weekend.
